New Authority Board Chairperson appointed.

A new Chairperson for the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA) Board has been appointed.

In a Kenya Gazette Notice Number 1226 dated July 24, 2026, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon Kipchumba Murkomen, appointed Hon Adan Haji Ali to serve for a period of three years.

He replaces Hon Mwambu Mabongah, who H.E. President William Samoei Ruto has appointed to head the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Board.

Hon Ali is the immediate former Chairperson of the EPRA.

He brings to the Authority a wealth of experience in public service, institutional oversight and regulatory leadership.

Everyone at the Authority is excited to welcome Hon Ali, and we look forward to continued growth and success under his stewardship.

We thank Hon Mabongah for his distinguished service at the Authority and wish him well in the next chapter of his career.
